Summer Nail Polish Picks

image

I did one of these posts in the spring, so I thought I’d share an edit of my favorite summer-inspired nail polishes too. They’re bright, cheerful, and perfect for a day in the sun.

From left to right, we’ve got:

I love Sephora by OPI polishes because I find them easy to apply, and they can go for days without chipping. Sephora by OPI’s “I’m Wired” (left) is a beautiful, vibrant, coral-based pink.

“Caliente Coral” (right) is, ironically, not really coral at all, but a true opaque orange-red. I guess someone on the naming team liked the alliteration, and “Caliente Orange” didn’t quite cut it.

OPI’s “Need Sunglasses?” (left) is an opaque sunshine-yellow. Whenever my nails are painted with this polish, I feel cheerful every time I look down and glimpse them. (Here’s a pixel-y instagram photo of me wearing it.)

“Cajun Shrimp” (right) is a bright, creamy coral red, ideal for those who are more comfortable with traditional nail colors, like reds and nudes, but just a hair more vibrant, making it perfect for the hotter months. (Here’s another low-res instagram pic.)

Essie’s “Bikini So Teeny” (left) is the perfect beach or poolside shade: a beautiful pastel periwinkle with a slight hint of shimmer. Looks great with a variety of skin tones, too! (See it on me here)

Essie’s “Fiesta” is one of my all-time favorite polishes year round, but it’s especially perfect for the summer. It’s a gorgeous, opaque hot pink. You can see a swatch of me wearing it here.

So those are my favorite summer polishes. What are yours? x
