Haul-iday Party Dresses

image

Happy Wednesday, everyone! Hope you’re all having a wonderful week.

December means a lot of fancy events, from birthdays (mine, mostly) to Christmas parties to New Year’s Eve.

…Just the excuse I needed to shop for new dresses. ;)

This post is a collection of dresses I’ve hauled in the past two months (ish), and each time I swore: this is the last one – this is the dress!

Same story, different day.

I love how they all look together: each dress an entirely different texture from the rest.

Dress numero uno is a little number I found at Lulu’s, and I love it so much I’m tempted to buy it in other colors.

It’s the “Foreign Film” dress in hunter green, a gorgeous, retro 1940s inspired style with long sleeves, slight shoulder pads, and draping round the front, all of which help give you that hourglass figure and make your waist look tiny.

(This color is currently sold out, but there are other options available!)

This second dress might actually be my favorite of the lot, and I’m saving it for a very special occasion. (Stay tuned for that OOTD post!) I found it on sale from Ruche – my very first purchase from them, and I couldn’t be more pleased. Very 1920s – I feel oh so Gatsby in it.

There’s only 1 left in stock, so if you love it, hurry!

Number three is a dress that LITERALLY stopped me in my tracks. I was walking through the mall, just minding my own business when I happened to catch this dress out of the corner of my eye in the shop window of RW & Co. I changed course and swooped right in there to try it on. (You know how this story ends.)

I love the antique gold lace overlay over the tailored black dress with sweetheart neckline. Very flattering and hits around the knee, making it appropriate for office holiday parties or any occasion you want to show a little less leg and cleavage action.

I can’t find it anywhere on their site, but you may have luck in stores if there’s an RW & Co. where you live.

This last dress is another one I scooped up from Lulu’s, called the “Global DJ Sequin Dress”. (There’s only 1 left in this color, but it’s still available in silver and black.) You may have guessed by now that I like sparkly, sequined things, and gold things – so this was a no-brainer for me.

The dress has three-quarter sleeves, a scoop back, and sequins all the way around, making me feel like a rose gold mermaid, with glittering scales all over. I can’t wait to wear it!

I’m sure all of these will crop up in future outfit posts (hint hint), so keep an eye out! xx
