Bar carts have become very trendy lately, and I’ve been wanting one of my own for quite some time. Though I’m not much of a drinker, I love entertaining and think bar carts make a wonderful piece of home decor, too. Unfortunately, all the bar carts I’d been lusting over were waaaaaay outside my budget. The least expensive one was over a hundred dollars, the most expensive one, close to two thousand. I was just about to give up on my dream of having my own bar cart, until I stumbled upon this lovely DIY tutorial from Sugar & Cloth. (more…)

I bought a new Blossom iPhone case (see left) a few weeks ago, and when it arrived, it wasn’t quite what I hoped it would be. Somehow, on the website it looked nicer, but in person the opaque matte plastic made it look a bit cheap, in my opinion.
Tonight I decided to take a bit of a risk and get creative with it. I painted the entire thing with a nail polish – Essie’s “There’s No Place Like Chrome”. It was really easy to do, dried quickly, and I think it looks fantastic. It’s a beautiful, reflective metallic silver color. Not only is it now one of a kind, I think it looks much fancier than it did before. I wish this photo did it justice, because it looks so much better in real life! So if you’ve got a case you don’t love, and don’t really know what to do with, consider painting it with your favorite polish! x
