Sephora Beauty Haul

Sephora Beauty Haul | Sara du Jour
Do you ever feel like you use up your beauty products all at once? That’s how I’ve been feeling lately. I scraped the last of my beloved Bobbi Brown eye cream out of the jar, and squeezed the final bit of my favourite concealer out of the tube. And so, it was time to visit Sephora. But being the human sloth that I am, I did all my shopping online instead. (more…)

Home Office Haul: Indigo + Kate Spade

Home Office Haul: Kate Spade + Indigo | Sara du Jour

I’m slightly ashamed to admit that this is the first of two Indigo haul posts to come. What can I say: Indigo bookstore is my kryptonite. Plus, they carry Kate Spade items, which is just unfair, really. So anyway, here are a few things I bought recently to keep me organized, motivated, and stylish while I work from home. (more…)

Naturebox Canada Review

Naturebox Canada Review - Sara du Jour

I’ve never been one for subscription boxes. Things like Birchbox, and Glossybox, which send you a surprise selection of beauty samples each month for a set fee, hold little appeal to me.

For one thing, I’m very choosy with makeup and know exactly what I want (and don’t want). Giving up the ability to choose for myself in order to get a bunch of randomly-selected miniature products and potions that will just clutter up my bathroom counter is just not my thang.

Naturebox takes the idea of the subscription box, and applies it to healthy(ish) snack foods. Now this is exactly my cup of tea. Here’s why. (more…)

Rifle Paper Co. Haul

Sara du Jour: Rifle Paper Co. Haul

Rifle Paper Co. is one of my favourite brands, so I frequently peruse their site to see what’s new. Anna Bond, the founder and creative director, is incredibly talented and has an unparalleled visual aesthetic.

I’ve got things from Rifle Paper Co. all over my home – from framed London and Paris illustrated map prints, to greeting cards I’ve either framed or stuck on my fridge door, to my iPhone case. I’d let Anna art direct my whole life, if she wanted to. (more…)

Cardtorial for Mother’s Day

image

A little while ago the lovely Elizabeth from Cardtorial reached out to me and asked if I’d like to review their real wood cards. I’d never heard of their products before, but after checking out their site and falling in love with some of them, I was in! (more…)

New Year, New… Kate Spade Wallet

image

Let’s rewind back to January first. Back to before we’d broken all of our hopeful resolutions. Back to when we were bright eyed, optimistic, and smelling new beginnings in the air. (more…)

Rifle Paper Co. iPhone Cases

image

These are too cute not to share.

On November 17th, exactly a month away from my birthday, my dad came home with a little present. He told me it was my birthday gift, and that I had a choice: open it now, or wait for my birthday to open it. (more…)

Custom iPhone Case from Zazzle

image

Like most people, my iPhone is basically an extension of my arm. I love it, can’t go anywhere without it, and guard it like Smeagol guarded his preciousssss.

Custom cases are a great way to personalize a phone and make it your own. And being the artsy person I am, I like to design my own! (more…)

Hunter Wellies: Haul & Review

image

I love rain. What I don’t love are squishy, soggy toes. These last few months have been very wet here in Toronto, and I’ve been drenched to the bone on more than one occasion.

I’ve been eying Hunter Wellington rubber rain boots for quite a while, and after getting soaked one too many times, I finally went and bought myself a pair. (more…)

Product Rave: Airbrush Legs

image

I have had this stuff on my shopping list since forever, but somehow always manage to forget to buy it when I’m at the drugstore. Last week I finally bought myself a can, after hearing and reading so many rave reviews of it. (more…)

The Hit List: Best Red Lip Products

image

Ah, the red lip. A statement of femininity for decades. I love wearing a red lip, both in the evening and even during the day sometimes, to perk myself up when I’m feeling a bit drab.

Here are my top picks for red lip products, from pencils to lipsticks to glosses, and everything in between. (more…)

Sephora and MAC Haul & Review

image

You guys seem to like makeup posts, so I thought I’d share a few things I’ve bought lately. Sephora had a 15% off everything promotion recently, so I took advantage of that and repurchased a few products I was running low on.

As for the MAC stuff, I plead guilty. No excuse there! But let’s start with what I got at Sephora. (more…)

Fancy Paper Straws

image

The lovely Kristi from the Etsy shop PartyDelights sent me some of her beautiful paper straws to review for you guys.

She sells a wide variety of colored sets, so if you’re looking to buy these for a themed birthday party, she has sets like Cinderella (light blue, light pink, and medium blue) and Tangled (hot pink, yellow, and purple).

She was kind enough to let me mix and match my own set, so I chose these three colors: “it pink” (the lighter pink), “mint”, and “raspberry pink”. (more…)
