Fall MAC Cosmetics Haul
I get kind of dangerous when it’s late at night and I’m home alone. The hairs on the back of my neck stand up, I start to twitch, and before I know it, I’m online shopping. In honour of fall and fall-ing in love with so many autumn beauty trends (like a vampy, dark lip), I did a bit of damage online at MAC. Here’s what I picked up! (more…)
Loving Lately: September/October 2015
I confess, I’m a bit nosey. I absolutely love watching or reading other peoples’ monthly favourites, and discovering great new products and things. It seems only fair that I should share some of my own in return. When I get excited about something – whether it’s a new beauty product, a favourite food, or a show I’ve been obsessing over – I like to share it with everyone I know. If you follow me on instagram, you’ve already had a peek at some of these!
So without any further ado: here’s an extensive list of things I’ve been loving lately. It’s quite long, so feel free to grab a snack or something, and then settle in to scroll. Don’t worry, I’ve sorted it into categories. (more…)
Loving Lately: Beauty Edition
Oh, how I’ve missed you all! To those of you who have been begging me to re-enter the blogging world, thank you. It meant so much to me that you missed my posts. I’ve had a beautiful few months away from the interwebs (though I was still active on twitter and instagram) but I’m back now! I can’t promise that I’ll be posting super frequently, as I don’t want to go back to where I was before – feeling like blogging was a chore I had to do that ate up much of my free time. I want to blog because it brings me joy, simple as that.
With all of that said, here are a few beauty products I’ve been thoroughly enjoying these last few months, from face products to lip products to beauty tools! (more…)
Kate Spade and Indigo Holiday Haul
I did warn you guys that there was another Kate Spade and Indigo haul coming – and this one’s a big one. At this point, my love affair with all things gold, polka dotted, Kate Spade, or Chapters Indigo is news to nobody, and as luck would have it, Chapters Indigo released a holiday collection that is a collision of all those things. It might as well have been designed for me! (more…)
Fall Fashion Haul (Lulu’s + Forever 21)
Fall fashion is the most fun to shop and dress for, isn’t it? Jewel tones, textures, and layering make a comeback as we ease away from the bright colours and airy designs of summertime. Here’s a fall fashion haul of a few style pieces (clothing and accessories) I’ve bought over the last little while as I got excited for the change in seasons. (more…)
Home Office Haul: Indigo + Kate Spade
I’m slightly ashamed to admit that this is the first of two Indigo haul posts to come. What can I say: Indigo bookstore is my kryptonite. Plus, they carry Kate Spade items, which is just unfair, really. So anyway, here are a few things I bought recently to keep me organized, motivated, and stylish while I work from home. (more…)
Naturebox Canada Review
I’ve never been one for subscription boxes. Things like Birchbox, and Glossybox, which send you a surprise selection of beauty samples each month for a set fee, hold little appeal to me.
For one thing, I’m very choosy with makeup and know exactly what I want (and don’t want). Giving up the ability to choose for myself in order to get a bunch of randomly-selected miniature products and potions that will just clutter up my bathroom counter is just not my thang.
Naturebox takes the idea of the subscription box, and applies it to healthy(ish) snack foods. Now this is exactly my cup of tea. Here’s why. (more…)
Apartment Decor Haul
Since I showed you guys around my apartment (living room tour | bedroom tour), there have been a few new additions. I thought I’d let you in on some of the beautiful goodies for the home I’ve collected over the past few months. (more…)
Indigo Bookstore Haul
My favourite bookstore, Indigo, was having a sale. This conveniently coincided with my serious craving for excellent new books to devour. (more…)
Rifle Paper Co. Haul
Rifle Paper Co. is one of my favourite brands, so I frequently peruse their site to see what’s new. Anna Bond, the founder and creative director, is incredibly talented and has an unparalleled visual aesthetic.
I’ve got things from Rifle Paper Co. all over my home – from framed London and Paris illustrated map prints, to greeting cards I’ve either framed or stuck on my fridge door, to my iPhone case. I’d let Anna art direct my whole life, if she wanted to. (more…)
Summer Modcloth Haul
I pretty much always have a Modcloth lust list as long as my arm. On this occasion I allowed myself a few things on that list, two of which I justified as being essential, and the other two simply because I fell in love with them and couldn’t drag myself away. (more…)
Cardtorial for Mother’s Day
A little while ago the lovely Elizabeth from Cardtorial reached out to me and asked if I’d like to review their real wood cards. I’d never heard of their products before, but after checking out their site and falling in love with some of them, I was in! (more…)
Forever 21 Spring Haul
“Florals? For Spring? Groundbreaking.” – The Devil Wears Prada
Spring is finally in the air here in Toronto! Today was the first time I could shed my winter coat and don my sunny yellow trench and Ray-Bans. (Making me look quite a lot like the illustrated icon on the right – the coat is exact!)
I did a spot of online shopping recently, and the other day my package arrived at my doorstep. Oh happy day! I thought I’d share what I picked up, since so many of you requested links to things when I shared photos on instagram. (more…)
Winter Skin Sephora Haul
In the wintertime, skin needs some extra lovin’. Some of you may already be enjoying spring-like weather since we’re on the cusp of March, but as I look out the window, it’s a world of white. And it’s way below freezing today. Oh, Canada.
Whether or not you’re still battling the elements where you are, here are a few things I recently picked up from Sephora to get my face glowing despite the season. (more…)
