Summer Scalloped Style Haul
lilac tote bag | scalloped flats | studded pumps
Happy first day of summer! This is the happiest I’ve been on a Monday for a while, because I’ve taken a vacation day, and thus have my own, private long weekend. (So #blessed.) I’m happily still lazing about in bed, snacking on grapes and watching a few Youtube videos on my iPad while I put together this blog post. (more…)
Retro White Dress Outfit + Tobi Haul
White dress c/o Tobi | Aldo kitten heels | Sole Society ‘Vivian’ sunglasses
This spring I’ve been doing something more brave than usual: I’m wearing white. I love the way white looks in an outfit, but when you’re as much of a hazard to yourself as I am, wearing it is a big risk. (more…)
Spring Style Haul: F21, Zara, + Mendocino
So, I meant to post this spring style haul weeks earlier, when spring in Toronto had really just begun. Temperatures were finally warming, meaning Canadians were tentatively peeling off their parkas and poking their heads out the door. Trees were shaking off memories of snow and starting to bloom, lifting everyone’s spirits.
Cut to: today – the weather is gorgeous, and it’s just about summer. I’m running around in dresses most days! But until June 22nd, it’s still technically spring. So onwards with this (delayed) spring haul. (more…)
Loving Lately: Spring Finds + Favorites
I’ve been a little off the grid the last few months (though you can always find me on Instagram), but I thought I’d return to the blogosphere to share a few of my favourite things, ranging from beauty, to fashion and tech. (more…)
Boot and Shoe Haul | Tory Burch & Aldo
Oh, I’ve been very bad these last few months. This boot and shoe haul is a bit delayed because of all the busyness that is the holiday season, but better late than never I suppose!
Forgive me father for I have sinned – there were too many amazing sales around Black Friday, and I am weak. This shoe haul is a collection of footwear I snagged at an amazing price the week of Black Friday, as well as a very generous Christmas present. But fear not! If you are coveting thy internet neighbour’s shoes, all of these are still currently available in stores. (more…)
My Gym Bag Essentials
When it comes to sticking to a fitness regimen, it helps to have the right gear. I know that for me, if my fitness gear is cute, I’m excited to use it and that helps me stay motivated. If you’re striving to keep to your New Year’s resolution to exercise more frequently (or at all), packing your gym bag essentials the night before makes it easier to grab it and go the next morning. And that’s means you have one less excuse to make the day-of!
I am the opposite of a morning person, so I go to the gym straight from work a few days a week. Here’s what I typically pack: (more…)
Sparkling New Year’s Eve Outfit
Happy New Year! I hope you all had a smashing time ringing in 2016 with your friends or loves last night. Now that we’re all in bed, browsing the internet and nursing our collective hangovers, let’s talk about fashion.
New Year’s Eve is both one of my favourite nights of the year and one of my favourite nights to dress for. It is without a doubt the sparkliest holiday, and I try to take full advantage. (more…)
Retro Glamour Little Red Dress Outfit
Holiday party season continues, as does my love affair with 1950s fashion. It truly is my favourite decade for feminine style, followed closely by the 1940s. That’s why I combined a 1940s Rita Hayworth-inspired hairstyle with a 1950s Marilyn Monroe-inspired little red dress for this glamourous evening look. (more…)
Retro 1950s Christmas Party Outfit
*Gasp!* An outfit post! I know, it’s been a minute. But every time I do a poll asking which of my blog post types is your favourite, outfit posts seem to come out on top, so I’m doing my best to oblige. Anyway, I recently hosted a Christmas cocktail party at my apartment for some friends from the office, and since I was going all Stepford-y with the food and drinks I prepared (stay tuned for that post), I figured I’d do the same with my outfit of the evening. (more…)

Forever 21 Accessories Haul
Forever 21 Canada (my bae, as we all know) has had so many cute things on its site lately. With the holidays fast approaching, I picked out a few accessories to help me sparkle. I just bought these items recently, and all but one item are still on the site as I write this post. So if you see something here that you absolutely must have, hurry up and grab it before it goes! Here’s what I got. (more…)
A 1920s Gatsby Christmas Party
The Roaring Twenties. The Prohibition Era. The Jazz Age. This year, our office Christmas party was 1920s-themed. The invitations were delivered, beautifully designed in Art Deco style. The gentlemen and ladies were instructed to pick an alias and “dress to kill” – we were going to a speakeasy. There would be an open bar, catered food, a casino, and dancing. What better way is there to end the year? (more…)
Fall Fashion Haul (Lulu’s + Forever 21)
Fall fashion is the most fun to shop and dress for, isn’t it? Jewel tones, textures, and layering make a comeback as we ease away from the bright colours and airy designs of summertime. Here’s a fall fashion haul of a few style pieces (clothing and accessories) I’ve bought over the last little while as I got excited for the change in seasons. (more…)
Lust List: October 2014
It’s been a while since I’ve posted a wish list of mine! I may make a series of these Lust Lists, but this one is for October 2014. Here are ten gorgeous things I’ve been gazing at from afar with big puppy dog eyes lately. (more…)
Summer Modcloth Haul
I pretty much always have a Modcloth lust list as long as my arm. On this occasion I allowed myself a few things on that list, two of which I justified as being essential, and the other two simply because I fell in love with them and couldn’t drag myself away. (more…)
